A Khourjeen is made in pairs with the two decorative piled sections joined by a plain woven centre which lies over the donkey’s back, allowing the piled bags to hang over the donkey’s flanks. The plain woven centre has been removed to form two separate bags.

Bolesht bags have a rectangular piled face with a plain woven rear and a looped enclosure system on one end. They are used for storage of clothing and bedding and also as a pillow.
